Chairman

Mr. Manzurul Islam was appointed to the board in 1993. He became the Chairman in 1995 and still is serving as the Chairman of Board. Mr. Islam also holds the position of Chairman in Aftab Bahumukhi Farms Limited, Aftab Feeds Limited, Aftab Hatchery Limited, Aftab GP Farms Limited, Bengal Development Corporation, Navana Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Navana Health Care Limited, Jahurul Islam Medical College, Islam Brothers Properties Limited & Directorship in Lafarge Surma Cement Limited.

In addition Mr. Islam was the former Chairman of IFIC Bank Ltd and Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Association of Banks.

Mr. Islam is a graduate in Economics from University of London.

He received awards as one of the best entrepreneur personalities of the country in consecutive years in 2003 and 2004 and best young entrepreneur personality of the year in 2005. Since 1998 Mr. Islam is one of Commercially Important Person (CIP) of Bangladesh.
